Meet the Owner
Hi there! My name is Mya, and I am the proud owner of The Empowering Scents. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about my journey with you.
Ever since I can remember, I have always wanted to run my own business. I made many ideas over a couple of years and finally I decided to start The Empowering Scents. I wanted to make a candle business where I handcraft vegan, cruelty free and natural products. I wanted to become a sustainable business as although there are many candle businesses out there, the majority use plastic or harmful ingredients. This is where my idea of The Empowering Scents began!
When designing my business, I also wanted to make sure I support local charities and give back to the earth. This is why I have launched my initiative with planting Mangrove trees with Earthly. The project I support is run by Eden Reforestation Projects to plant Mangrove trees in Maroalika, Madagascar. I chose to support planting Mangrove trees because they are amazing at carbon sequestration, they provide a vital habitat for many species and they help with protection from storms. The project I am supporting started in 2007 and has already planted over 300 million trees.
As the owner of The Empowering Scents, I am deeply committed to ensuring that all of our products meet our high standards of quality creativity. I want you to feel confident that when you shop with us, you are getting the finest products, with a sustainable mission.
I am truly grateful for your support, and I can't wait for you to discover the wonderful world of candles and wax melts that we have for you to explore.
Warm regards,
Mya :)
Planting trees with Earthly

Our inititave of planting trees.
Through Earthly, we are investing in nature-based projects that remove carbon, restore biodiversity, and support the communities most impacted by climate change
This initiative serves two crucial purposes: promoting biodiversity and reducing our carbon footprint as a business. Mangrove trees play a vital role in coastal ecosystems, providing habitats for numerous species and serving as a natural barrier against erosion and storms. Additionally, they are highly effective at sequestering carbon dioxide, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Furthermore, for orders exceeding £50, we will plant five mangrove trees, amplifying our efforts to contribute positively to the environment and foster sustainable practices in our business operations.
