My name is Mya, and I am the proud founder of The Empowering Scents.

From a young age, I dreamed of running my own business and after years of exploring ideas, I launched The Empowering Scents, a brand dedicated to crafting luxurious, handcrafted, vegan, cruelty-free, and natural candles. What sets us apart is our deep commitment to sustainability. While many candle brands use plastics and harmful ingredients, we focus on eco-conscious materials to create products that are as kind to the planet as they are indulgent for the senses.

Through our partnership with Earthly, we actively support Mangrove reforestation efforts in Madagascar with the Eden Reforestation Projects. Mangroves are vital for carbon sequestration, wildlife habitats, and coastal protection, making them an essential part of restoring our planet. Since 2007, this initiative has planted over 300 million trees, and I am honored to be part of this mission.

This initiative serves two crucial purposes: promoting biodiversity and reducing our carbon footprint as a business. Mangrove trees play a vital role in coastal ecosystems, providing habitats for numerous species and serving as a natural barrier against erosion and storms. Additionally, they are highly effective at sequestering carbon dioxide, helping to mitigate the effects of climate change. Furthermore, for orders exceeding £50, we will plant five mangrove trees, amplifying our efforts to contribute positively to the environment and foster sustainable practices in our business operations.
